The following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office:

Monday, Jan. 5

At 10:19 a.m., a caller reported seeing a woman climb into the window of a Riepma Avenue trailer.

At 11:57 a.m., a man reported that his car and boat were vandalized on Ozells Road.

At 12:04 p.m., a caller reported that a man on Olympic Drive was shooting blanks from his gun to get his dog used to the sound.

Sunday, Jan. 4

At 8:05 a.m., a caller reported that a horse was loose on Highway 20 at Monroe Landing Road.

At 3:35 p.m., a Links Way resident reported a leak in a propane tank that was recently filled.

At 5:04 p.m., a caller reported that a tree fell into power lines on West Beach Road and a transformer exploded.

At 5:43 p.m., there was a reported that a tree was down and completely blocking the roadway on Highway 20 near W. Sleeper Road.

At 8:35 p.m., a Hersig Road resident reported that someone kicked in his door.

Saturday, Jan. 3

At 2:40 a.m., there was a report of an “unlawful discharge of a laser” on Wilson Road.

At 3:12 a.m., a caller reported that a man hit a woman at a home on Highway 20 near Oak Harbor.

At 6:57 a.m., a caller reported that two horses were loose on Laurel Lane.

At 8:55 a.m., a caller reported an ongoing problem with vandalism to trees at the construction site for Centerpoint Christian Fellowship.

At 9:42 a.m., a caller said he wanted to ask a deputy about getting a business acquaintance tested for drugs.

At 2:22 p.m., a Zylstra Road resident reported that a loose Rottweiler tried to attack her dog.

At 2:59 p.m., a caller reported that people were taking driftwood from the beach to build a fire near the Admirals Cove pool.

At 9:42 p.m., a Morning Mist Lane resident reported that some sort of animal was running back and forth in her vents or attic. She said her dogs were going crazy.

Friday, Jan. 2

At 1:50 a.m., a man reported that his shih tzu ran away on Monkey Hill Road.

Thursday, Jan. 1

At 1:29 a.m., a woman on Strawberry Point Road reported that she “just got away” from her husband. She said he accused her of cheating on him and started beating her up. She said he pounded her head into the floor and punched her.

At 11:59 a.m., there was a report that a victim of a possible rape was in transit to Whidbey General Hospital.

Wednesday, Dec. 31

At 5:54 a.m., there was a report of driftwood all over West Beach Road.

At 6:40 a.m., a caller reported that a tree was on power lines on Taylor Road. The lines were almost to the ground.

At 9:42 a.m., a Silver Lake Road resident reported that her husband locked her out of her vehicle because he’s worried she’ll get into an accident.

At 9:45 a.m., a caller reported that three dogs were contained after bothering cattle on Scenic Heights Road.

At 4:04 p.m., a woman reported that her daughter was at Joseph Whidbey State Park and saw a black bag that appeared to have flesh and bones in it. It turned out to be household garbage with no body parts.

At 4:09 p.m., a Crosswoods Circle resident reported that someone left computer parts and garbage on her doorstep.

At 4:59 p.m., a Hersig Road resident reported that keys, a checkbook and a bow were stolen.

At 7:17 p.m., a caller reported that mortars were being blown up over a Crosby Road residence.

At 10:22 p.m., a caller reported that rocket-type fireworks were being shot off on Canyon Road.

At 11:55 p.m., a caller reported a loud party on Sidney Street.

Tuesday, Dec. 30

At 8:16 a.m., there was a report of three young black cows loose on Miller Road.

At 5:12 p.m., a woman who lives on Highway 20 near Oak Harbor reported that a man walked in her front door. She scared him away by holding her vacuum cleaner wand like she was going to strike him.

Coupeville Marshal’s Office

The following items were selected from reports made to the Coupeville Town Marshal’s Office:

Saturday, Jan. 3

At 1:30 p.m., a Race Road resident reported someone drove a white Ford Ranger across the grass.

At 8:55 a.m., a caller reported someone was vandalizing trees on Highway 20.

Friday, Jan. 2

At 3:23 p.m., a caller reported finding a friendly, reddish-colored dog at the intersection of Kinney and NE Sixth streets. The dog was wearing a red collar with flowers and a choke chain.

At 12:09 p.m., a caller reported a man in his 20s with bushy hair and wearing all black was wandering around Front Street. He was peering through the window at the Port of Coupeville office.

Wednesday, Dec. 31

At 10:20 a.m., a caller reported a wheelchair-bound man in the middle of North Main Street.
