Senator comes to Freeland Hall

"Island County Democrats will be hosting U.S. Senator Patty Murray at Freeland Hall on Friday, April 20.Murray is expected to speak on the impending energy crisis, environmental issues, veteran affairs and health care issues. She will also discuss the recent incident in which China held 24 U.S. military personnel for 11 days. The incident resulted in Murray canceling a planned trip to visit China this week as a member of a U.S. delegation.The public is welcome to attend the Freeland event. A social hour during which individuals may speak with Murray will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and her speech, with time afterwards for questions from attendees.The cost is $25 per person. The gathering was orginally planned for the Greenbank Farm, but was later changed to Freeland Hall. "
