He added that Vashon High School is “arguably the best high school on Vashon Island.” “Wherever you go, remember where you came from,” he said. “Remember the small rural community known as Vashon.” One hundred sixteen seniors received their diplomas from Vashon Island School District Board Chair Bob Hennessey and will go forth across the United States and the world in the coming months and year. “Today, you are my joy,” Principal Susan Hanson told them. “Graduates, I believe you can fly.”
