Sumner Spartans take district championship | Baseball

The Spartans rolled over Fife 10-0 in the morning game at Franklin Pierce High to move into the district championship game.

Sumner then traveled across the Narrows Bridge to play White River for the district crown at the Kitsap Fairgrounds.

The travel time didn't slow the Spartan express down. The team beat White River 3-2 to take the championship in the regional round of the state tournament.

Sumner will play Lynden in the regional round at 1 p.m. at Yelm High.
