Football playoff preview: Hazen

Hazen plays Mount Si at Renton Stadium Saturday at 7 p.m.

Mount Si

Intro: The Wildcats sport a 5-4 record and took third place in the KingCo 3A/2A.

Best win: Mount Si dominated Juanita 42-6 Oct. 23.

Worst loss: The Wildcats were down 20-0 after the first quarter and 38-7 after the first half against on the way to a 50-28 loss against Interlake Sept. 17.

Trend: Up. Despite ending the regular season with a loss, Mount Si played Liberty close. Before that it was was three straight wins.

Extra point: The Highlanders have experience with the KingCo this year, playing both Interlake and Liberty.

Bottom line: The Wildcats play a very physical style and thrive on controlling the clock. Hazen also works to sustain long drives with its run-based offense.
