Valley Medical Center clinic, doctors honored

Valley Medical Center physicians and a VMC neighborhood clinic have received top honors by three area publications this year.

• Seattle Metropolitan named Dr. William Barrett a “Top Doctor – Orthopedic Surgery,” and Dr. Karen Nilson a “Top Doctor – Occupational Medicine,” in its annual “Top Doctors” issue.

• Dr. Shannon Markegard with Lake Sawyer Primary Care was named “Best Physician” by residents of Covington, Maple Valley and Black Diamond as part of the Maple Valley/Covington Reporter’s “Best of … 2008” competition.

• At Lake Sawyer Primary Care, Dr. David Sweiger was a finalist in the “Best Physician” category, and the clinic was a finalist in the “Best Medical Clinic” category.

• The new quarterly publication, WA: Washington State Travel and Life, named Dr. David Vossler one of “Washington’s Best Doctors – Neurology;” Dr. Ronald Brazg received the honor in the “Endocrinology and Metabolism” category; and Dr. Cheryl Ann Hayes was named a “Washington’s Best Doctor” in the “Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation” category, in the publication’s first annual “Washington’s Best Doctors” list.
