Nine new tenants for The Landing; grand opening this spring

Sep 12 2008

Nine new dining, retail and service tenants are set to open at The Landing in north Renton beginning this fall and into 2009.

As exterior construction begins to wrap-up, the heart of The Landing is taking shape. A grand opening is scheduled for this spring.

“The Landing is becoming a neighborhood with its own unique identity,” said Bob Baker, a partner at Harvest Partners, the developer of The Landing. “The Landing is a key to making South Lake Washington a walkable neighborhood where people can meet friends, grab a bite to eat and shop.”

The new tenants are:

• RESTAURANTS: The Rock (wood-fired pizza), Izakaya Sushi and Papaya Vietnamese Cuisine will open before the holiday season.

“The Rock, Izakaya and Papaya are exactly the type of tenants we’ve been looking for to build the heart of the pedestrian center of this project,” said Baker.

“New to market restaurants and established regional chains will build on the community feel and vibrancy already underway at The Landing,” Baker said.

• HEALTH AND BEAUTY: Element Salon and Spa and Massage Envy will open later this fall and Emerald City Sun will join in early 2009

“These three new lifestyle amenities are the options that will draw people from all over to The Landing,” said Baker. “We wanted to be able to offer the services you use the most right next to stores such as Target, Petsmart and Staples, which are frequently on any shoppers list of destinations.”

• SERVICES: AT&T Wireless, Boeing Credit Union and the UPS Store have also signed on to be tenants at The Landing. “The Landing is the place to go regardless of what you need,” said Baker. “The best part is that you only need to park once, after that, everything is in easy walking distance.”

The Landing is a 46-acre mixed-use development that sits at the base of Lake Washington just off Interstate 405, across from the Boeing hanger.

This $300 million project offers a combination of residential, restaurants, entertainment options, national retail chains and regional boutiques to create an urban village with all of the desired options for the consumer.

At full build-out the project will contain the largest Target store in the area as well as an all-digital Regal Cinemas. In addition, the project will include 900-plus residential units, a 42,000-square-foot LA Fitness and more than 614,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space.
