Benson Hill 'Community Celebration' to take place June 21

Jun 20 2008

The City of Renton is hosting a Benson Hill Community Celebration on Saturday (June 21).

The event is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cascade Elementary School ballfields, 16022 116th Ave. S.E., Renton.

The celebration is designed to give people in the newly annexed Benson Hill area and other Renton-area residents a chance to meet each other, learn about city services and have fun, according to city officials.

The city will provide hot dogs, lemonade and ice cream.

Also on the June 21, volunteers can help remove invasive plants and beautify Cascade Park from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Southeast 162nd Street and 122nd Avenue Southeast. Check-in is at 9 a.m.
