Wonderland Estates

Wonderland Estates Mobile Home Park is holding an open house May 17 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided around 2 p.m.

The open house is to thank those who helped Wonderland’s 55-and-older residents save their park from demolition. King County Housing Authority purchased Wonderland in November for $8.4 million.

The park went up for sale in June 2006, and the owner submitted applications to King County to turn the park into 100 homes. Before the purchase, residents had until August 2008 to move out.

Wonderland Estates is at 14645 S.E. Maple Valley Highway.
