Recycle that tree

Rainbow Girls will collect Christmas trees for recycling 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 3 at drop points in Kent and Maple Valley.

Individuals can drop off trees – no flocked trees, please – either at Kent Fire Station No. 75, 15635 S.E. 272nd St., in Kent, or at the Royal Arch Park, 20821 Renton-Maple Valley Highway, Maple Valley. The club is asking for a $5 donation per tree. For details, call 253-277-2806.

Car show on tap

Kentwood High School will present a Kentwood Car Show 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at the school, 25800 164th Ave. S.E., Covington. The public is invited to come view the cars, learn about the school’s auto program, and help pick the winner.
