Topaz focuses on affordable fashions
A trio of local business women last week launched their latest business venture: Topaz, a new boutique at Kent Station.
The business owned and operated by Minh Nguyen, Nhung Mach and Tuyet Bui is located at 444 Ramsey Way next to Road Runner Sports in Kent Station.
As part of their opening celebration, the boutique had an exclusive VIP preview Friday and Saturday, offering refreshments and discounts on merchandise.
The store officially opens for business in early August.
Focusing on what it calls “affordable fashion,” Topaz features pieces by contemporary designers including organic tops and dresses, denim, dresses, T-shirts, blouses, trousers and accessories.
The majority of items are priced under $100 with select items like special occasion dresses and coats priced up to $160.
Known for their merchandise at their popular Peridot Boutique in lower Queen Anne, the three businesswomen said they were excited to bring a trendy boutique to downtown Kent.
“We want women in Kent to have a personal shopping experience with our fashionable updated trends,” Minh Nguyen said. “We love creating outfits that work for different styles and personalities and finding unique pieces that can be worn many ways.”
Bui agreed, “We want each client to put together a whole outfit for an evening out without having to worry about someone else wearing the same thing.”
The women also own Peridot Nail Salon at Kent Station.
Nguyen and Mach have been best friends since childhood. Bui is Mach’s sister.
