The No. 1-ranked Todd Beamer Titans remained the only unbeaten girls soccer team in the South Puget Sound League South Division with a pair of victories late last week. The Titans beat up Graham-Kapowsin Thursday, 3-0, and downed rival Decatur Saturday, 4-1.

The pair of wins moved Beamer to 8-0-0 in the SPSL South and put them two games clear of second-place Emerald Ridge (6-2-0). The victories also kept the Titans atop the Seattle Times’ Class 4A state rankings.

Beamer got a pair of goals from junior Holland Crook against Graham-Kapowsin and Megan Miller scored twice against Decatur. Meghan Graf picked up the shutout in net for the Titans against Graham-Kapowsin. Decatur’s only goal came from Ashley Graves in the 41st minute.

The Gators (5-3-0) beat up Spanaway Lake, 4-0, Saturday. The Gators got goals from Stephanie Kirk, Rylie Buckholz, Rachel Markey and Hannah Herbert. Kayla Lipston picked up the shutout in net.

The Federal Way Eagles split their two games last week with a 2-0 win over Auburn Thursday and a 2-1 loss to Tahoma Saturday. The Eagles got goals from Joanne Packer and Chantel Dixon against Auburn.

The Decatur girls golf team remained unbeaten on the season with a 73-54 win over Federal Way Thursday at the Northshore Golf Course. Stacey Blunt and Amanda Beyke shared medalist honors. Both shot 5-over, 42s. The Eagles were led by Pincy Promsasit and Emily Victor. The pair fired matching 53s.

For the third time this season, the Thomas Jefferson boys played to a tie. The Raiders tied with the Curtis Vikings, 78-78, Thursday at the Fircrest Golf and Country Club. Jefferson was led by the matching 38s of Keenan Darrow and Erik Jarvey and Charles Lee shot a 39.

Jefferson put up a fight Friday against the Auburn Riverside Ravens, but couldn’t get over the top against the Ravens. The Raiders lost to Riverside, 26-28, 26-24, 25-13, 25-17. The loss dropped TJ to 1-3 in the SPSL North.

The Raiders got eight kills and 11 digs from Kendra Ansotigue, 11 kills from Morgann Green and seven kills and eight digs from Rachelle Eckert.

Federal Way, Decatur and Beamer were all swept in three games Thursday night.
