Update on FW school superintendent search

Oct 29 2009

Community input meetings have been scheduled regarding the new Federal Way Public Schools superintendent position.

The position was opened when, earlier this month, Tom Murphy announced his retirement.

Board members will be at four different sessions to hear community input.

• 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 4, Decatur High School, 2800 S.W. 320th St.

• 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 5, Federal Way High School, 30611 16th Ave. S.

• 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 9, at Thomas Jefferson High School, 4248 S. 288th St., Auburn

• 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 12, at Todd Beamer High School, 35999 16th Ave. S.

Following the conclusion of the listening sessions, the board will also appoint an advisory committee to provide feedback throughout the superintendent search.
