• From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sept. 2-3, a final pavement overlay will take place on southbound Pacific Highway South. Traffic on the highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

• From 10 p.m. to midnight Sept. 2, South Dash Point Road will be closed between 16th Avenue South/Redondo Way South and Pacific Highway South. Detour routes will be provided.

• From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sept. 2-3, a final pavement overlay will occur at South Dash Point Road between Redondo Way South and Pacific Highway South, as well as 16th Avenue South and South Redondo Way at South Dash Point Road. Traffic on these roads will be reduced to one lane in each direction during paving.

• Work will continue to construct a reinforced sidewalk and pedestrian barrier at the wall next to the South Dash Point Road Shell gas station and the walls near the View at Redondo Apartments, 29421 Pacific Highway S. Final concrete pours for all three walls will occur the week of Aug. 25. Forms will be removed the week of Sept. 2.

• SCI Infrastructure has a crew on the project dedicated to tying in grading behind retaining walls, installing mailboxes in their permanent locations and other work to blend the project work into private developments. This will continue until the Pacific Highway South HOV Lanes phase III project is complete.

• The week of Sept. 2, SCI will lay out and a subcontractor will install median island extruded curbing. After curb placement SCI will place soil in the median in preparation for landscaping. Extruded curbing will also be installed in parking lots behind sidewalks and walls during this time.

• Lasting at least through Sept. 5, the concrete subcontractor will return to pour the remaining missing sidewalk and replace damaged sidewalk and driveway panels.

• The week of Sept. 2 the fencing subcontractor will return to install the remainder of cedar fence and black vinyl-coated chain-link safety fence on top of walls, as required throughout the project.

• The week of Sept. 2, the landscape subcontractor will begin installation of project irrigation in roadside planter strips and median beds. This work will be ongoing for at least two weeks.

• The week of Sept. 2, the signing subcontractor will begin installing project road signs.

• No work will be performed on Sept. 1 in commemoration of Labor Day.
