Sophomore Colton McCluskey finished 4-under par at 31 at Jade Greens Golf Course Sept. 2 for an Enumclaw High boys golf individual record as the Horents opened the season in a jamboree with Kentlake and Tahoma.

As a team, the Hornets finished at 172 to set a school course record. The former record of 189 was set in 2000.

McCluskey’s individual score on the par-35 back nine topped Justin Maryanski and Byron Shettle’s even-par 35s from the 1998-99 season.

Jordan Beals finished 2-under at 33.

Friday, the Hornets hosted Kentlake in a jamboree at the Enumclaw Golf Course. The Hornets’ Beals earned medalist honors with a 3-under 32, leading EHS to a 72-48 win.

Junior varsity medalist honors went to Michael Lucarelli with a 38 as the Hornets won 72-48.

Enumclaw kicks off the regular South Puget Sound League 3A season at 2:15 p.m. at Auburn Mountainivew and then hosts Clover Park at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
