Rotary Club honors students of the month

The Enumclaw Rotary Club recognized Zach Ross and Kelsi Tyler as Students Of The Month at its Jan. 21 meeting.

Ross, the son of Kathie and Jeff Ross of Enumclaw, is the recipient from Enumclaw High School. A student with a 3.9 grade-point average, Ross is a member of the Honor Society Leadership Board. In addition he is part of the high school leadership class, co-editor of the school yearbook and participates in track and cross country. He hopes to travel to Germany on a student exchange before enrolling in a four-year university where he can focus on his interest in foreign languages and cultures.

Tyler, the daughter of Kim and Burt Tyler of Buckley, is the recipient from White River High School. Tyler maintains a 3.5 grade-point average and is currently taking Advanced Placement classes in both psychology and government. She is on the high school volleyball, basketball and fastpitch teams serving as team captain on all three. She plans to continue playing volleyball at the collegiate level while studying special education and psychology with the hope of returning to the area as a special education teacher.
