Benefit concert will raise funds for baby

May 05 2004

A benefit concert and silent art auction for "Enumclaw's Baby" - the 7-month-old girl now recovering from 11 broken bones suffered during a brutal attack - has been planned for May 21.

The benefit will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Enumclaw High School auditorium. The celebrity host will be Pat Cashman, Seattle radio and television personality.

All proceeds from the event will be placed in the "Enumclaw's Baby" fund, recently established at Washington Mutual's Enumclaw branch by the Enumclaw Police Officers Association.

Individual performers and groups interested in performing are urged to contact Craig Gammon at 360-825-8650. Local artists wishing to contribute to a silent auction, to operate in conjunction with the concert, can contact Karen Worthington at 360-825-7498. Businesses interested in donating raffle prizes should also contact Worthington.

The special event aims to help Angelina Oakley, who suffered broken bones in both arms and a leg last month.
