New name for family operation

Nov 09 2009

Auburn Sheet Metal and Heating is changing its name to Treat’s Heating and Cooling.

The business, originally established in Auburn, has been run by a Treat since 1973. Dave Treat is the most recent owner, buying the company from his parents. He moved it to Bonney Lake and then, nearly four years ago, moved to Enumclaw, the community he and his wife JoAnne call home. Their son, Justin Treat, has joined the operation, making it three generations of the Treat family to work in the business.

While the business is physically located in Enumclaw, the service area covers a 30- to 40-mile radius.

Dave Treat said the company sill provides sheet metal work, but the bulk of the business is installing and maintaining heating and cooling products, with the recent addition of duct cleaning.

The name change, Treat said, will make it easier for clients to identify with the services and products.

“The employees, quality and the honesty and integrity my family has strived hard to achieve, all remain the same,” he said.
