SLIDE SHOW: Lake Sawyer community kicks off Independence Day with waterskiing and wakeboard competition

Waterskiing and wakeboard flips opened the day of fun and fireworks at Lake Sawyer today.

The community began the Independence Day celebration at about 8 a.m. on the lake with water skiers running a slalom course and wakeboarders showing their aerial skills.
