KELLY CAMPBELL

AUBURN MOUNTAINVIEW

• Grade: Freshman.

• Sport: Golf.

• Accomplishment: Campbell, a freshman and the son of local golf pro Doug Campbell, has medaled in six of the last seven Auburn Mountainview matches. Campbell is tied with Enumclaw’s Jake Erickson for the SPSL 3A league lead with 108 points. Campbell also carries some impressive stats, coming into the end of the regular season with 80 percent of his shots hitting the green in regulation. He is averaging 1.88 putts per hole and has 14 birdies on the year. In addition, Campbell is averaging 1-over-par for the season.

• Favorite class: Sports and Entertainment Marketing.

• Favorite movie: Rush Hour 2.

• Most recent book read/author: “In Search of Tiger: A Journey through golf with Tiger Woods” by Tom Callahan.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Tiger Woods and would serve rice and chicken.

• Also noted: Campbell, one of the area’s premier freshmen golfers, aspires to play golf at Arizona State University.

COREY CARSON

AUBURN RIVERSIDE

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Football.

• Accomplishment: Carson, a running back, rushed 13 times for 101 yards, including a pair of touchdowns, in Auburn Riverside’s 44-22 throttling of Thomas Jefferson on Oct. 3.

• Favorite class: Sports Medicine.

• Favorite movie: The Dark Knight.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Barack Obama and I’d serve chicken fettucine.

• Also noted: Carson carries a 3.9 grade-point average and also plays lacrosse for the Lake Tapps Titans. He wants to study sports medicine in college and become a trainer for a college or professional team.

CARLO LAVOIE

AUBURN

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Football.

• Accomplishment: Lavoi, a safety, intercepted three passes on Oct. 2, leading the unbeaten Trojans past Kentridge, 35-3.

• Favorite class: Lunch.

• Favorite movie: Sunset Park and Freedom Writers.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Actress and model) Megan Fox. We would have a candle-lit dinner on the beach.

• Also noted: Lavoie aspires to play football in college and “live life to the fullest.”

TRISHA AVERILL

AUBURN

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Swimming.

• Accomplishment: This past week, Averill qualified as an ironwoman, earning the right to represent the Trojans in all eight individual events at the Class 4A state swim meet. Averill, who did not swim for her high school team as a junior, won a silver medal in the 100-yard breastroke and was fifth in the 200 individual medley at the state 3A meet in 2006 as a sophomore.

• Favorite class: Accounting.

• Favorite movie: Pirates of the Caribbean series.

• Most recent book read/author: Text books, unfortunately.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Mark Spitz to see how he feels about his record being broken by Michael Phelps. For dinner, we would have Thai food.
