Support schools
Oct 29 2009
On behalf of all principals and assistant principals in the Auburn School District, I want to thank the cities of Auburn, Algona and Pacific for their strong support of our schools. I believe it’s that support of schools that makes this area such a great place to live in and raise a family.
The Auburn School District is asking voters to consider a capital improvements levy in the upcoming Nov. 3 election. If approved, this capital levy would repair critical items in 19 of our schools and six support facilities including: failing roofs, broken heating and ventilation systems, degraded utility lines, outdated surveillance and intrusion detection systems and other structural, health, safety and seismic needs.
I hope voters will join me in voting for this capital improvements levy by completing their ballots and dropping them in the mail by Nov. 3.
Greg Brown, Dick Scobee Elementary School principal and Auburn School District Principals’ Union President
