Insight School of Washington will hold its graduation ceremony at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28 in the Auburn High School Performing Arts Center at 700 E. Main St.

School officials said they expect to graduate 110 students, among them several who have attended high school entirely online. About half of those are expected to show up. State Sen. Pam Roach and Insight's valedictorian Kristen Herbert will speak and student Glenn Cragun will sing.

Students will attend a prom on June 28 at Emerald Downs. Prom is a chance to celebrate their common experience of online school and meet face-to-face with peers they may have interacted with online in their virtual classes or school clubs.

Insight School of Washington is a tuition-free, online public high school with students from across the state. Students are able to align their goals with their own abilities and pace in order to reach their academic potential and earn a high school diploma. The program provides extensive one-on-one support with with teachers and iMentors, and provides a free laptop, printer, and Internet stipend to enrolled students.

Prospective students number those looking for an alternative to traditional high school, such as advanced learners, students who have been home schooled by choice, full-time wage earners, those pursuing their dreams in athletics or the arts, students with physical or social challenges or with learning disabilities and those who may have struggled or felt unsafe in a traditional school.
