Auburn's Les Gove Park awaits July 4 celebration

Auburn’s Fourth of July Festival – an old-fashioned, hometown celebration featuring a parade, food and games – will unfold next Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Les Gove Park, 1005 12th St. SE.
The day will include a kids’ bike parade, arts and craft grove, expanded food concessions and activities for all ages. Two live entertainment stages will feature rock ‘n’ roll variety band Deja Groove, cover band Magic Bus, professional magician Tony Comito, the Dance Connection and more.
Children of all ages may line up on their decorated bicycles, tricycles or unicycles beginning at 11:30 a.m. The parade begins at noon.
Free festival activities include a children’s craft tent, bocce ball, lazer tag, gaming stations and museum activities.
An event wristband can be purchased for $5 and is good for unlimited games.
The Friends of Auburn King County Library will hold its annual book sale, and festival-goers can admire unique cars in the car show.
The White River Valley Museum will offer free admission during the festival.
The festival is presented by the City of Auburn and produced by the Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation Department in cooperation with 570 KVI talk radio.
