Equine art show set for Emerald Downs

Equine Art 2008, an exhibition and sale of artwork that captures the elements of the horse, horse racing, the horse industry at large, and/or all that surrounds the horse, is scheduled for July 9-13 at Emerald Downs in Auburn.
The show is open to original equine fine art. No prints, giclees or other reproductions will be accepted, except in the case of photography/digital, and sculpture.
Entry fees for adults are $30 for the first piece and $20 for subsequent pieces. For intermediates (ages 13-18), the fees are $20 for the first piece and $15 for subsequent pieces. Pre-teens (ages 8-12) and children (7 and under) are free. In all instances, the entry limit is three per artist. A retail price must accompany all entries.
Shipped art must arrive by Monday, July 7 (but not before July 3). Hand-delivered art will be accepted on July 8 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and judging will take place on July 9.
The show, which will be on the track level, is open for public viewing July 10-13 during racing hours at Emerald Downs.
