Friday Harbor boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestlers have their eyes on the big prize

Friday Harbor High School's winter sports teams are four days away from post-season play.
BOYS BASKETBALL: The boys basketball team is currently in second place in the Northwest 1A/2B League with two league games remaining.
Regardless of league standing, the boys will enter the District 1 1A tournament as a No. 4 seed. They will travel to Lynden to face Lynden Christian on Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. A win and the team would play again on Feb. 18 at King's, game time TBD. A loss Feb. 16 would end their season.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Our girls team is currently in first place in the Northwest 1A/2B League with two league games remaining.
On Feb. 13, our girls face Meridian in Friday Harbor to determine their seeding position into the District 1 tournament. A win vs. Meridian will make them the No. 3 seed, and they would then face Coupeville on Feb. 17, at Coupeville. Game time will be announced. A loss would make our girls the No. 4 seed, and they would be on the road to face Nooksack on Feb. 17 at Nooksack. Again, game time TBD.
A win Feb. 17 and the girls play again on Feb. 19 and 20. A loss on the 17th would end their season.

WRESTLING: Our wrestling team will head to Bellevue Christian High School for a regional tournament Feb. 13. Wrestling will begin at 10 a.m.
Seven wrestlers will compete at different weight classes to try and advance to the state tournament in Tacoma on Feb. 19-20. Individual wrestlers will need to finish in the top 3 in their weight class to advance.
