The following campaign events are scheduled in the San Juan Islands.

July 24
— Lovel Pratt, a candidate for San Juan County Council, San Juan South, hosts a meet-the-candidate meeting at 5:15 p.m. in the San Juan Island Library’s meeting room. Pratt wants to meet with residents and hear about their concerns and priorities for the community. She also wants to share her views on the issues.

July 26
Meet Republican candidates for state offices and Congress on Saturday, 2-6 p.m., at The Big Red Barn, 1721 Cattle Point Road, just outside Friday Harbor. The event is hosted by the San Juan County Republican Party. Dino Rossi, candidate for governor, is expected to attend. There will be a barbecue; bring food to share. RSVP to John Towson, 378-3843

July 30
— Meet Randy Gaylord, candidate for San Juan County Superior Court judge, 5-6:30 p.m., Orcas Fire Hall.

— Candidates forum, Eastsound Fire Hall, 7 p.m. Hosted by the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce. Featuring candidates for County Council, Orcas West; and San Juan County Superior Court judge.

July 31
— Fund-raiser for Kevin Ranker, candidate for 40th District state Senate, 6 p.m., Steps Wine Bar & Cafe, Friday Harbor. RSVP (360) 220-5914. Five-course wine-tasting dinner featuring dishes prepared with locally grown meat, shellfish and produce. Also featuring local wines.

Aug. 1
— Meet Randy Gaylord, candidate for San Juan County Superior Court judge, 8-10 a.m., Market Chef Restaurant in Friday Harbor. Coffee and scones.

— Meet Randy Gaylord, candidate for San Juan County Superior Court judge, 5-7 p.m., Lopez Island Library.

Aug. 2
— The League of Women Voters of the San Juan Islands hosts a candidate forum, 2:30-4:30 p.m., in Mullis Community Senior Center, 589 Nash St., Friday Harbor. Candidates running for the following positions have been invited: U.S. House of Representatives, 2nd District; state Senate, 40th District; County Council, San Juan South; County Council, Orcas West; and San Juan County Superior Court judge.

Aug. 9
— Candidate forum, Shaw Island Community Building, 11.30 a.m. Candidates running for the following positions have been invited: state Senate and state House of Representatives, 40th District; County Council, Friday Harbor; County Council, Orcas West; County Council, San Juan South; and San Juan County Superior Court judge.
