Textile show at Orcas Center

Textile art ranging from traditional to contemporary will fill the Orcas Center main gallery and Madrona Room throughout February. The public is invited to a reception for the participating local artists on Friday, Feb. 6, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Works on display will run a very wide gamut, from knitting, sewing, weaving, spinning, quilting, dyeing, basketry and needlepoint to felting, fulling, beading, rug hooking and fabric embellishment.

The artists whose work is on display are Irene Anda, B.J. Arnold, Barbara Bedell, Merry Bush, Pat Diviney, Maureen Hannan, Andrea Hendricks, Ann Jones, Carol Marcin and Geoff Shilling.
