Dine and dance at OFHC benefit
Nov 24 2009
When it's dark early and the weather is blustery, it's easy to go home from work, get comfortable on the couch, and not want to go back out.
But Orcas Family Health Center is asking the community to make an exception and share the spirit of the holiday season at a fund-raising dinner dance.
OFHC is holding its second annual dinner and dance on Friday, Dec. 11 at Orcas Center starting at 7 p.m.
Wanting to keep the event affordable, OFHC President Ken Speck has set the admission at $35 for a couple or $20.00 for a single entrance. The ticket price includes salad, meat or veggie lasagna, bread, and dessert plus two hours of swing band/dance music by the 18-piece band, Orcatrazz.
OFHC board members are contributing all the supplies, food costs, and time, as all funds raised benefit the health center's Care-For-All Program and X-Ray Fund.
In addition to good food and music, there will be door prizes for every table, and raffle items donated by Orcas Island Hardware/Ace, Cherie L. Lindholm Real Estate, Island Hardware, Eastsound Instruments and Music, and Crow Valley Pottery.
Tickets are available at Cherie Lindholm, Eastsound Instruments and Music, Kay’s in the Our House Mall, and Orcas Family Health Center at the Airport Center offices.
