Sweet delights at the Senior’s Holiday Fair

Nov 12 2008

A highlight of the annual Senior Center’s Holiday Fair is the Bake Sale, where sweet treats laced with cinnamon, chocolate, lemon, peppermint and countless other savories tempt the tastebuds.

Lindalena Dingman, Senior Advisory Committee Chair, is organizing the Bake Sale this year and is lining up bakers and set-up volunteers for the Bake Sale at the Holiday Fair on Saturday, Nov. 29.

“We already have a good stat with a contribution of 12 dozen cookies from two Kaleidoscope parents,” says Dingman. “This is a great way to show appreciation and support for the Senior Center.”

Baked goods can be dropped off at the Senior Center in Eastsound on Friday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or on Saturday, Nov. 24 between 9 and 10 a.m.

For further information and pick up arrangements, call Dingman at 376-4272. “Remember, most baked goods can be frozen, so it’s never too early to fire up those ovens!” says Dingman.
