“Restoring the health of Puget Sound by 2020.” Sponsored by Puget Sound Partnership. The draft plan, which identifies the priorities and actions necessary to protect and restore Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands at the Orcas Fire Hall from 5-7 p.m. Final plan to be sent to Governor and state legislature next month. Sail Orcas annual meet at 6 p.m. at the Orcas Senior Center, and is open to the public. Dinner is provided with a donation requested at the door. Speakers and volunteers honored.

Open Mic Pizza Night at Doe Bay Resort. Benefits a different nonprofit organization each month, 6 to 10 p.m., with open mic starting between 7 to 8.

FRIDAY, Nov. 14

Deer Harbor Community Club Potluck. Turkey will be provided by the Deer Harbor Women’s Auxiliary. Bring place setting, beverage and a dish to share. 6:30 p.m. at the Deer Harbor Community Center. Info at 376-5404.

SATURDAY, Nov. 15

Orcas Public Library’s Saturday storytime from 11:30 am to noon.

Sportsmen Club Turkey Shoot fundraiser 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at club shooting range, 1906 Enchanted Forest Road. Certified range safety officers to oversee free beginners’ instruction. Prizes. Events $4 per shooter. Barbeque lunch in clubhouse from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 376-5660 or 376-7626.

SUNDAY, Nov. 16

Dr. Michael Ward, author of “Planet Narnia: the Seven Heavens in the Imagination of C.S. Lewis,” speaks at the Orcas Island Community Church at worship services at 8:30 and 10 a.m. The church is located at 176 Madrona Street in Eastsound. All are welcome.

MONDAY, Nov. 17

Orcas Rec program fundraiser at Lulu’s. Open seating begins at 5 and runs to 8 p.m., vegetarian and meat pasta and salad for $15

Orcas Speaks Toastmasters meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Orcas Senior Center.
