Orcas Chamber workshop: E-mail marketing

Nov 11 2008

The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce presents another in a series of seminars and workshops to help businesses and organizations achieve their goals. The next class will be Friday, Nov. 14 from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m., with a presentation from the Northwest Regional Director from Constant Contact.

“You will learn how to make e-mail marketing work for you, and discover how email marketing works and obtain useful e-mail marketing tips,” says Chamber Executive Director Lance Evans. “E-mail marketing is about getting your message heard in a world of increasing email communications.”

Topics to be discussed include the components of an effective marketing campaign, creating professional-looking emails, developing mailing lists and subject lines to get your e-mails opened and best practices in e-mail marketing.

All those in attendance will be eligible for a 60-day free trial of Constant Contact, and both new and existing customers will receive a special Chamber discount if they choose to sign up. “Join us for coffee, tea and morning pastries,” says Evans.

The Chamber asks members for a $5 donation, and non-members for a $15 donation, to help offset room costs.

At the Outlook Inn Victorian Room. RSVPs are requested, call the Chamber at 376-2273.
