Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce offers another “Business Essentials” course

The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the latest offering in its Business Essentials series of workshops and seminars.
“My Financial Well-Being – What I Need to Know Before I Retire,” will be presented by Joe Cohen, a Managing Director of HoyleCohen Wealth Management of San Diego, on Sept. 11.
Cohen, an Orcas Island resident, will touch upon the basic steps everyone should be taking as they plan for retirement. Attendees are encouraged to come loaded with questions for an informative Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
Cohen will present the “Financial Well-Being” workshop on Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Outlook Inn’s Victorian Room in Eastsound. Coffee and tea service at 7:45 am; the Workshop runs 8 to 9 a.m. RSVP’s are requested. Contact the Chamber at 376-2273 for sign-up information. A workshop donation of $5 is requested from Chamber members; non-Chamber members are invited to attend for only $15.
Presented monthly, with speakers touching on topics of value to business, this series is presented as a benefit of Chamber membership. The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce represents more than 300 member businesses and organizations, and provides programs such as this to help fulfill its promise of helping strengthen the island economy; promoting the community; providing networking opportunities; and representing business to government.
