Bonney Lake pep rally for Olympic weightlifter Melanie Roach will be taped by The Today Show

The City of Bonney Lake will host a pep rally for Olympic weightlifter Melanie Roach, at noon this Monday at Allan Yorke Park. The event will be taped by The Today Show and aired nationally.

Roach earned the No. 1 spot on the U.S. weightlifting team at the 2008 U.S. trials in Atlanta and will compete in the 2008 Beijing Olympics beginning Aug. 8.
