Triathlon offers groups chance to raise money

The Bonney Lake Chamber of Commerce Labor of Love Triathlon is just around the corner and we have opportunities for volunteers to raise money while helping with the event.
Raise money for your service organization, group, or club with a minimal of effort by furnishing “Volunteers” who will assist with race day functions at the triathlon.
Your support will be rewarded by a donation to your organization based on the number of members/volunteers and their service hours to the event.
The donation will range from $5.00 per hour volunteer up to $500 per organization. In addition, high school seniors can also use this time to help satisfy community service hours for graduation.
Volunteers must show up at 7 a.m., check in, and attend a safety and instructional race meeting. After the meeting they will proceed to their selected/assigned race duty station. Upon completion of their assignment(s) they will check out. The race cut-off time is noon.
Job assignments available include for registration (3 people), body marking (4), bike transition security (4), water distribution (6), road marshals/direct traffic (9) and finish line and post-race refreshments (4). Volunteers need to sign-up by Saturday.
The triathlon will take place Labor Day, Sept. 7 at Allan Yorke Park in Bonney Lake. Race starts at 8 a.m.
