Joe Wilson for judge

Oct 29 2008

Having worked in the Superior court system for 23 years, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the important role our Superior Court judges play in our democracy. As the Snohomish County Clerk, I am proud to endorse Joe Wilson as our next Superior Court judge.

On a professional level, Joe has experience handling the same types of cases as our Superior Court judges: family law, civil, criminal and juvenile, including experience as a judge pro tempore and administrative judge.

He has extensive experience as a Superior Court law clerk, volunteer, victim advocate, and guardian ad litem (an individual who represents the best interests of a child or vulnerable person), and has argued cases successfully at multiple court levels including the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.

On a personal level, Joe was born and raised in this community. A graduate of Gonzaga Law School he could have remained in the Spokane area to practiced law successfully but, instead, chose to return to our community where is raising two delightful young boys along with his wife Cecilia.

Joe has been serving as a board member for Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County (formerly Center for Battered Women) for over 10 years. Earlier this month I and more than 400 others attended an event at which Joe was honored for his selfless service to this important organization. I have known Joe for over 20 years and have seen his dedication to our community.

Joe Wilson’s wide range of experience and unique legal background make him the most qualified candidate for Position 6 of the Superior Court bench, which is why he is endorsed by so many Judges at multiple court levels (for a complete listing of endorsements, visit www.joewilsonforjudge.com) As the Snohomish County Clerk and Clerk of the Superior Court, I am endorsing Joe Wilson and ask that you join me in casting your vote for him.
