LWSD hires new human resources director

Dr. Michael "Mike" Mack was recently selected for the Executive Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services vacancy in the Lakewood School District.
Mike earned his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts Education from WWU (1981), his M.Ed. in School Counseling from Seattle University (1985), principal's certification from Seattle Pacific University (1993), Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Superintendent Certificate (2004) from WSU.
During the past four years Mike has served as the superintendent at the International School of Latvia. Prior to that he served as the Principal of Stanwood Middle School from 1999-2004 and Assistant Principal at Kamiakin Junior High in the Lake Washington School District from 1993-1999. Mike also served as a high school counselor in Lake Washington S.D. from 1987-1993. His teaching experience was gained in teaching CTE classes in the Enumclaw School District from 1981-1985.
Mike is a member of the Lakewood community with three children in Lakewood schools. His wife, Jeanne, is also a kindergarten teacher at Lakewood Elementary School. Mike will be returning home to Lakewood in late June and officially assuming his duties July 1.
