Chamber sets meetings

MARYSVILLE — The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce is staging two Business After Hours meetings and a Business Before Hours meeting within the month ahead.

The Pacific Rim Supper Club and Ballroom, located at 3228 Marine Dr. in Tulalip, will host the first Business After Hours Oct. 28, while Merrill Gardens, located at 9802 48th Dr. NE in Marysville, will host the second Nov. 5. Both meetings will run from 5-7 p.m. For more information on Pacific Rim, call Cindy Langmas at 360-659-0900. For more information on Merrill Gardens, call Barbara Brotherton at 360-659-1279.

Langmas added that Pacific Rim is also hosting a “Marysville Idol” karaoke contest every Friday night, with $2,000 in cash and prizes, as well as early booking discounts for the holidays for their banquet room.

After the Tulalip Resort mpulse Lounge hosts the next Northern Young Professionals Network meeting Nov. 12, the Chamber’s Business Before Hours meeting will take place Nov. 20 from 7-9 a.m. in the Tulalip Resort Canoes Cabaret Room. John Bonner, executive director for corporate training and continuing education at Everett Community College, is scheduled to speak about the SuperHost Fundamentals training program, which was originally designed for Olympic-level events, in preparation for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
