Community members gather for Arlington Veterans Day parade

ARLINGTON — Jack and Luke Joss may not be old enough to serve in the military, but they certainly looked the part.

The two Marysville brothers, along with their friends Tyler, Jacob and Riley Headland, were all dressed in camouflage jackets while they watched the Arlington Veterans Day parade on North Olympic Avenue Nov. 11.

"It makes me happy to know that we have a free country," said Jack Joss, 12.

The children were not the only spectators of the parade — hundreds of residents young and old lined both sides of the downtown Arlington street to pay respect to former service men and women.

The parade included members of the color guard from Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1561, American Legion Post 76, the Arlington High School Band, Boy Scout Troop 92, as well as veterans from World War II, the Vietnam War and other youth groups and organizations.
