Fire destroys Arlington mobile home, two injured

ARLINGTON — A fire early on in the morning of June 28 destroyed an Arlington mobile home and sent two victims to the hospital for minor injuries. The home, located in the 20200 block of 67th Avenue NE, was fully engulfed when firefighters were called shortly after 9:15 a.m. Bystanders confirmed that all occupants were out of the structure, and firefighters began protecting surrounding structures and extinguishing the blaze.

Units from Arlington, Arlington Heights, Marysville and Getchell quickly brought the fire under control without additional injuries. The home was declared a total loss and several vehicles parked adjacent the structure were heavily damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office.

Eight family members — two adults and six children — living at the residence were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross. It did not appear that the injuries to those transported were life-threatening.
