Inslee to host career-exploration event

Area youths have an opportunity to hear from KING 5 Meteorologist Shannon O’Donnell and learn about careers in science, finance, public service, law enforcement, health care and other fields at an event hosted by U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee at the University of Washington, Bothell at 1:15 p.m. May 31.

Kids can participate in activities and visit booths with representatives from Bayer, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union, Shoreline Community College, Snoqualmie Ice Cream, the U.S. Forest Service and the Washington State Department of Ecology, among others.
