Aug 27 2008
A man died as a result of an accident that occurred late Tuesday night near Oak Harbor when the motorcycle he was driving struck a house, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Ryan R. Pringle, 33, whose home is listed as East Dundee, Ill., was westbound on Pinewood Way at 11:53 p.m. He failed to stop at a stop sign, left the roadway and struck the house.
The State Patrol report states that Pringle was driving his 1992 Kawasaki KDX too fast for conditions. He was not wearing a helmet and alcohol may have been a factor. Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at $500.
Pringle was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27.
