King County Elections releases initial round of primary results

King County Elections posted the first round of results from tonight's primary election at 8:04 p.m.

Here are the initial results that affect the Redmond area:

Congressional District 1, U.S. Representative

Top three:

Suzan DelBene (D): 57.60 percent of the votes

Pedro Celis (R): 15.33 percent

Robert J. Sutherland (R): 14.51 percent

The top-two vote-getters advance to the Nov. 4 general election.


Northeast Electoral District Court, Judge Position No. 3

Lisa O'Toole: 61.27 percent

Marcus Naylor: 19.38 percent

Rick Leo: 18.95 percent

The top-two vote-getters advance to the general election.


All the following candidates advance to the general election:

45th Legislative District

** State Senator

Andy Hill (R): 53.89 percent

Matt Isenhower (D): 46.03 percent


** Pos. 1

Roger Goodman (D): 53.87 percent

Joel Hussey (R): 46.03 percent


** Pos. 2

Larry Springer (D): 55.75 percent

Brendan Woodward (R): 44.16 percent


48th Legislative District

** State Senator

Cyrus Habib (D): 62.98 percent

Michelle Darnell (R): 36.91 percent


** Pos. 1

Ross Hunter (D): 69.13 percent

Bill Hirt (R): 30.62 percent


** Pos. 2

Joan McBride (D): 69.14 percent

Tim Turner (L): 30.36 percent

The next round of results will be posted at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow.

The final results will be certified on Aug. 19.
