I-5 northbound traffic clears after early morning diesel truck rollover
Traffic on Interstate 5 northbound near the Duwamish River is getting back to normal after a truck carrying diesel fuel rolled over and spilled some of its cargo early Friday morning.
The accident happened on I-5 north between South 129th Street and State Route 900, according to the WSDOT's Web site. It took about four hours for the truck transfer its remaining diesel fuel to another truck and to be righted.
Traffic backups stretched for miles along I-5 north and for a time, most lanes near the accident were shut down. Workers diverted traffic to alternate routes while the wreck was cleared.
