Stabbing in Camelot Park leads to lockdown at 2 schools

A man called police at approximately 11:30 a.m. Thursday to report he had been stabbed by an unknown assailant in Camelot Park, 29400 45th Place S., outside Federal Way city limits.

According to a release from the King County Sheriff's Office, the man claimed the unknown assailant had stabbed him and then ran off into the wooded area of the park.

Thomas Jefferson High School and Camelot Elementary were placed on a temporary lockdown as KCSO officers and Federal Way police officers searched the area for the victim's alleged attacker.

According to the release, the victim became uncooperative after police arrived, and claimed to have fallen on his own knife. As of noon Thursday, officers were still searching for the attacker.
