Four people have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder after police found a body in a garage in the 75th Street East in Bonney Lake.
According to police, the deceased man is a black male in his mid-20s. Police are investigating the death as a homicide. The suspects have been booked into Pierce County Jail.
Police believe the incident to be drug-related.
According to Bonney Lake Public Information Officer Todd Green, police were called to the 19200 block of 75th Street East at about 4 p.m. Thursday for a report of gunshot wound.
When police arrived at the house, they located several firearms and blood around the house and found the deceased male in the garage with a gunshot wound.
Police took three males and one female into custody, including a friend of the deceased who called police to report the incident. According to Green, the friend was able to run from the scene to a neighbor's house to make the call.
Green said police received "four different stories" but believe from the statements that the incident was related to drugs.
"It appeared to be a drug deal gone bad," he said.
Police are investigating.
