BREAKING: Sumner man threatening suicide has barricaded himself in home

Sumner, Bonney Lake and Puyallup police are responding to a suicide threat on 142nd Avenue East in Sumner, according to a media release from the city office.

The subject called 911 at 2:53 p.m. threatening to take his own life. He has barricaded himself in his home, and there appear to be no hostages or other persons with him.

Metro SWAT is being called out to assist.

Two police units are positioned on state Route 410 as part of the response.
