Mirror staff reports:

In September, a Federal Way denturist was charged with unprofessional conduct.

Daniel Inseong Park's denture clinic is located at 30816 Pacific Highway S. According to the state Department of Health, Park allegedly abused methamphetamines, treated patients after his license expired in 2009, and had sex with a patient during a denture consultation in March 2012.

The patient was offered upper and lower dentures at a discounted cost and was referred to an oral surgeon, according to the health department.

Park admitted the allegations to a Department of Health investigator in a May 2012 interview at his denture clinic, according to the department.

On March 9, 2012, Park received a deferred sentence upon his plea of guilty to solicitation to possess a controlled substance, a gross misdemeanor in the King County District Court.

In July, Park applied for reactivation of his expired denturist credential, according to the health department.

A denturist specializes in oral health exams along with the design, construction, insertion and repair of dental prosthetic devices (known as dentures or false teeth) in patients.
