Update | Fire marshal determines dog jumping on kitchen counter caused Bremerton fire | Three dogs perish

In an update to the Bremerton fire in the 6000 block of Pahrmann Place NW, the county fire marshal has completed his investigation and has determined the cause of the fire.

It appears that one of four dogs in the house had jumped onto the kitchen counter to get to some food and in doing so had turned on one of the stove’s burners.

Three dogs died during the fire

Central Kitsap is reminding residents that it’s best to keep pets contained when they’re home alone.  Accidents can happen easily and lead to tragedy.
