It's Homecoming night for Sumner High School and that means parades, barbecues and, yes, a football game.

The theme this week has been "A Night at the Grammys."

Things get started at 4:30 p.m. with the annual homecoming parade down Main Street in Sumner, followed by a carnival and barbecue from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Sumner High School, 1707 Main St.

This year, the SHS Alumni Association is joining in the festivities, driving three vintage cars in the parade and inviting other alums to join in the fun at the stadium.

All of that leads up to the big game when the Spartans will host the Fife Trojans at 7 p.m. at Sunset Chev Stadium.

The halftime show features the award-winning high school Marching Band and Color Guard with performances by the Dance/Drill Team and Cheer Squad. A fireworks display just before the start of the second half completes the show.
