Two to three suspects entered an Auburn home Wednesday night, assaulting and shooting two people, according to Auburn Police.

The attack occurred in the 6000 block of South 298th Place shortly before 11:50 p.m.

Medics transported the victims, both men, ages 23 and 24, to Harborview Medical Center. They were in stable condition as of Thursday afternoon.

One of the injured ran to a neighbor's house for help. Several other people inside the residence were not hurt.

Police arrested a 38-year-old Seattle man a short distance from the crime scene and booked him into the SCORE Jail facility to await transportation to the King County Jail.

During the execution of a search warrant, police found a small marijuana grow as well as a quantity of packaged marijuana. A shotgun also was recovered.

The Auburn Police Department is not able to released any names in connection with the incident at this time.

"We are currently speaking to witnesses, trying to identify the outstanding suspect(s) and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident," said Auburn Police Commander Jamie Sidell.

"...This was not a random act," Sidell added. "We know there was some association among them, but that's about it."

The Auburn Police Department Major Crimes Unit and its Crime Scene Response Team are investigating.
